Genes Diffusion began to identify and develop a solution to lower overall production cost and improve production efficiency when in the late 1990’s it became increasingly difficult to find and retain qualified labor for boar stud production. The result is COLLECTIS®, the revolutionary automated boar collection system from Genes Diffusion.

The COLLECTIS® technology has been well accepted and production systems worldwide have recognized the benefits of the Collectis and invested in the technology. Today, COLLECTIS® is utilized to collect over 6,000 boars in 8 different countries producing more than 7.5 million doses annually.

The concept

The idea was to develop a system which would maximize the efficiency of labor while reducing production cost. The result is COLLECTIS®, an automated boar collection system, that is a functional and practical approach to boar semen collection. The COLLECTIS® is designed to allow a single technician to “manage” multiple collection pens simultaneously while eliminating the need for technicians to collect boars manually.
